Why I Built VillageMetrics

Doug with his daughter Sydney at the beach
Hi, I’m Doug

I created VillageMetrics because of my daughter, Sydney. She’s autistic, and my family faces the daily reality of managing problem behavior. These challenges affect not just Sydney, but everyone in our family. They make even the basics of daily life—work, childcare, and plans—unpredictable and incredibly difficult. My heart goes out to any family navigating this, because I know firsthand how much it impacts every part of life. Despite the best intentions of doctors and therapists, we’ve often been left without the data we need to make informed decisions. That’s why I built VillageMetrics - to empower families with the insights they need to make meaningful progress and improve life for everyone involved.
